Written by Jason McGee

Justin Bocot had one of his best games ever Wednesday night in the battle for Bloomington. Bocot supplied class aa number 20 ranked Bloomington with 38 points in a convincing 76-52 defeat over class a number 4 ranked Bloomington Cetral Catholic. The performance included a 25 point first half that saw Bocot go 4 of 5 from 3-point range. He finished the game 5-8 from 3 and 10-25 from the field. Lonnie Lawrence seemed to be everywhere as he also contributed a game high 15 rebounds to go along with 7 points.

Bloomington Cetral Catholic was given an impressive performance from freshman Tom Norton. The states 18th ranked freshman scored a team leading 14 points that included a 10-point first half. Brandon Dunson contributed 12 points.

Bloomington has been noted for its talent but the big question has been how will the team gel on the floor. It appears that freshman D'mitri Riggs is going to get more playing time than previousy expected for a Bloomington freshman. This could make them a serious downstate contender to get a state tournament bid. Riggs scored 12 points in his first freshman game Monday night.
