This upcoming weekend, the Illinois Warriors, will be participating in the St. Louis Eagles Invitational, held in Columbus, Missouri. They will be one of ten teams participating in the 17U division.
Sherron Collins, Jon Scheyer, and Manual Cass are anticipated to represent the state of Illinois, being our top three players in this division. Mario Little, Howard Little, and Bill Cole will also be participating with the Warriors. Team Illinois will be the other 17U team from this area. Jordan Lee, Spenser Adams, and Brandon Dunson will also be looked upon to embody Illinois.
Other teams headlining the tournament include St. Louis Eagles, Howard Pulley Panthers (brought two teams), and Playground Warriors of Wisconsin. The Tennessee Travelers, Kansas City Keys, Kansas City Rocktown, and Kansas City Roundball will also be participating.
On the 16U level, Illinois Warriors, MeanStreets Express, and Team Illinois will all be in the event. Derrick Rose and Tim Flowers will be the two top players from our state due to the fact super-sophomore, Justin Bocot, recently injured his wrist competing with Ft. Sooy-No Limit. Look for Travis Rosenkranz of Macon Merdian and Mike Tisdale from Riverton. Both Illinois prospects will be competing with the St. Louis Eagles.
