Verdell Jones, Jr. has produced many top players out of the Ft. Sooy-No Limit Basketball Academy. Some of these players include Richard McBride (Illinois), Brian Randle (Illinois), Rodney Edgerson (Washington St.), Blake Schilb (Loyola), T.J. Gray (Western Illinois), and the ever so popular--Shaun Livingston (L.A. Clippers). His latest prodigy is Jordan Lee.
Lee, a 6'3" guard/forward, attends Champaign Central. As a sophomore and junior he led the Maroons in scoring with over 20 points per game and rebounding with over 8 rebounds per contest. This summer, he is the leading scorer for Team Illinois, averaging over 20 ppg, and second leading scorer for Ft. Sooy-No Limit, averaging over 12 ppg.
Few players are able to complete the tough task on playing on two of the top AAU teams in the state but he has accomplished this deed. He is joined by Brandon Dunson and Spencer Adams with Team Illinois and Spencer Adams, Verdell Jones, and Justin Bocot with Ft. Sooy-No Limit.
Lee is a beast on the board and unstoppable when taking it to the cup due to his strength. He's athletic and tough on defense but his work ethic, desire, and hustle sets him apart from other classmates. He needs to working on his ball handling skills and shooting ability but is a player to really keep an eye on.
