Boy to Men Math and English Academy is an upstart school headed by Loren Jackson. It is perhaps a breakthrough for Illinois high school basketball because it is one of the few prep schools in the Midwest. Based on the strong crop of inaugural players it has, it will likely have plenty of the Midwest's finest calling for years to come.

The headliner for Boys to Men is their 6-8 star player, Nayal Koshwal. Koshwal was the deciding factor in most of the games he played with Julian as he kept them on top of the MidStateHoops.com Team Rankings for a strong portion of the latter part of the season. When he was ultimately banned from playing with Julian the team became less of a state power. He has been on a tear all summer. He lead his Chicago Jaguars squad to a second place finish at the AAU National 17-U Tournament. Mac will be a huge factor in this team's success.

Another standout player for this team is Curtis Brown. Brown is a sixth year senior who spent last season at Mt. Olive Prep in Marietta, Georgia. He is a 6-9 220 pound power forward. Brown actually declared himself eligible for this year's NBA Draft. However, he never hired an agent. The declaration was a result of Kentucky never offering him a scholarship even though he had orally committed to them. A season ago he averaged 14.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 5.6 blocks. Schools other than Kentucky believed to be showing interest in him include Illinois, Purdue, Georgia and Auburn.

The big men keep coming as Thijin Moses is also attending the new school. Moses is a 6-8 wing forward who also played with the Chicago Jaguars on their national run. According to published reports he has offers on the table from both Depaul and Marquette.

The top guard for this team is expected to be Jeremiah Kelly. Kelly is a 6-0 point guard who is transferring to the school from Julian. He has been reclassified as a class of 2008 player.

The schedule entails at least 2 tournaments in Chicago. These are the MLK Tournament from January 14-16, and the Chicago Hoop Fest at Kennedy King College from February 10-11. The national schedule includes the Jimmy V Coaches Vs. Cancer Classic, and the Champion Prep Classic from February 24-26.
