Bayer Preparing For Home Visits
September 20, 2005
By Jason McGee

Moline star Paul Payer has a number of home visits forthcoming. The class of 2006 standout will be receiving home visits from Marquette and Wyoming on the same day. The plan is for Coach Tom Crean of Marquette, and Coach Steve McClain of Wyoming to observe Paul in seperate workouts. Crean on September 21, and McClain on September 27. Then the home visits will proceed from there.

Bayer has bulked up in the offseason. He has added 15 pounds to his 6-5 from as he has made the move up to an even 200 pounds. He spent most of the summer with a skills trainer. Paul has improved on his ball handling. His already deadly shooting stroke is believed to have added quickness to its release. Bayer played very little AAU basketball this summer. He joined the Rising Stars roster for the home stretch.

As one of the top remaining unsigned players from the 2006 class, Bayer's recruitment is of great interest to the state of Illinois. MidStateHoops.com hopes to keep you updated each step of the way.
