Trey Blue: Player Journal 4

What's up everybody? It's Trey Blue again.

It's been a lot of basketball and drama for me and the team the last couple of weeks. Of course you all know Mac has been ruled ineligible but we are still looking forward to a big playoff run.

For those of you who don't know yes, my name is Horace (Trey) Blue III. I prefer everyone to call me Trey because that's what I'm use to. My parents named me Trey because I'm the third and they always called me that and everyone else always calls me Trey as well. I was just letting you guys know just incase you were confused.

Basketball wise, we took a huge upset loss to Simeon in the city play-offs a couple of weeks back. Our minds were not focused with all the distractions surrounding us but now we're back on track and I think we can give it a run at the state title.

In our first regional game at Bremen High School in Midlothian, I scored 16 points and had 5 assists against Eisenhower. We went on to win 85-49 and to play the host Bremen for the regional championship. We won the regional championship over Bremen Friday night. The sectionals start this week and we will play Marist Wednesday night, who has two of my friends Jeremy Nash and Mitch Bouie.

I'm really looking forward to the next couple of weeks and we're going to give it all we've got. It's time to turn it up so may the best team win!
